SIMS 3 NEWS: ANNOUNCEMENT OF THE SIMS WORLD ADVENTURE EA announced the box art for it's new expansion pack, the Sims World Adventures, August 27. Two new screenshots were also released. The screenshots shows a mummy committed on cursing a Sim, and a Sim narrowly escaping from a fire trap and in one of three locations your Sims can visit in the game. They are Egypt,China, and France. SIMS 3 NEWS: THE SIMS 3 WORLD ADVENTURES I was browsing the internet and came across a website that gave a short review on the first Sims 3 expansion pack. One of the members of the website, was invited to appear for a viewing of the new expansion pack. She wrote an article for that website. She quickly addressed the one thing many Sim fans want to know - Sims must still be created in Sunset Valley or Riverview. No, Sims won't be able to live in the newly created "worlds". It's all up to your "visa level", how long you can stay. You can build up your Visa level by taking on opportunities and adventures. She then gave an example on how a Sim would gain "visa levels". She told her readers that Sims must take on these opportunities or adventures to gain "visa levels". At this time, she wanted to tell her readers that going on these "adventures" or holidays doesn't permanently take away current opportunities from the Sim. Then she told a brief story of a Sim named Chaz. It's kinda like the video. Here's some things that the article reveals: -You may have to go to another location to find things to complete some opportunities. - All ages are allowed to go on vacation, even babies and toddlers so you don’t have to leave them home. - Even though babies and toddlers can come on vacation, the parents will still need to carry their children on their arms while exploring the lands. (She didn't say if a babysitter was available) - We still won't able to create new neighborhoods. - As you probably know you can see a snake charmer on one of the Sims 3 World Adventures screenshots. Our Sims are able to learn that as well. - When your Sims go on vacation not only will the opportunities be saved, also the neighborhood will freeze time until your Sims come back. So you can leave some family members at home. -There are new types of food ingredients available. SIMS 3 NEWS: SALE ON SIMS 3 IPOD TOUCH AND IPHONE The makers of Sims 3 dropped the price for the Sims 3 to $6.99 on the ipod touch and iphone. From my understanding, it's similar to the Sims 3 on the PC. It doesn't sound great, but I heard It's great for when you are waiting on the bus, standing in line, between classes, etc. On a positive note, I did find out that their were mini-games. SIMS 3 NEWS: ANNOUNCEMENT OF THE SIMS WORLD ADVENTURES EA has release news of it's first expansion pack for the Sims 3. The new expansion pack is titled the "Sims 3 World Adventures". It doesn't seem to be like the previous expansion packs "the Sims 2 Bon Voyage" and "the Sims Vacation". It seems as though it may be a mix between my favorite adventure games , Virtual Villagers and the Tomb raider series. Since reading the article at IGN, taking a closer look at the pictures, and features of "the Sims 3 World Adventures". I see exploration! I think the Sims are going on the adventure. The Features of "the Sims 3 World Adventures" game is: Accept challenges, find treasures, discover what’s lurking in hidden caves and more. Explore famous landmarks in countries like China, Egypt, and France. Learn new skills like photography and pursue new opportunities. Meet new Sims from exotic locations and share their cultures. Customize your Sims homes with new styles & artifacts from their adventures. Free SimPoints for The Sims 3 Store (1000 SimPoints), and additional online features to be announced.
